Calistx is the coaching app for Control Theory Calisthenics, operated by Hunter Stein ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the Calistx app, why we collect it, who can see it, and the choices you have.
The short version: we collect only what's needed to coach you. We don't sell your data, we don't share it with advertisers, we don't track you across other apps or websites, and there are no ad or analytics trackers in the app.
Calistx is for coaching clients aged 18 and over. The app is not intended for minors, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, browsing history, or advertising identifiers. Camera and photo-library access is requested only when you choose to record or attach a photo or video, and is used for nothing else. Calistx does not read data from Apple Health.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run the app. They process data on our behalf under their own security commitments, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with row-level access controls, so each person can only reach the records they're entitled to. Passwords are hashed and are never visible to us or to your coach. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects your data.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active, so your training history stays intact.
When you delete your account, your access ends immediately and your personal data — training logs, measurements, nutrition entries, photos, videos and messages — is permanently erased at the end of a limited retention period of up to 12 months.
During that period we retain a minimal record of the coaching relationship: your name, contact email, the dates you were a client, and summary counts of the service delivered. We keep this for one reason only — to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, such as a payment dispute or chargeback (permitted under GDPR Article 17(3)(e)). It is never used for marketing, never shared, and is erased along with everything else once the period ends.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA — including the right to object to or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We honour these requests regardless of where you live. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app. Continuing to use Calistx after a change means you accept the updated policy.
